Motorola Moto E Review

Motorola Moto E Review
Motorola has launched some of the best Android smartphones in the past such as Moto G and Moto X. Now, Motorola has brought a budget smartphone named Moto E which runs on Android Operating system. When Motorola was on the verge of going extinct, Moto X was launched and then after that Moto G which brought company back in the mobile industry. Motorola has already launched Moto E and it was launched in India and Australia for the first ever time.

The design of the Motorola Moto E is quite much similar to Moto G. If you are looking at both the handsets at the same time it might be difficult for you to find out which one is Moto E and which one is Moto G. However, if you are comparing Moto G with Moto X you will find a lot of difference as Moto X comes with a designer back which is not present in Moto G. Moto E comes with an optimal screen size of 4.3-inches. Above the display you will find loud speakers mounted. The screen comes with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which will protect the screen of your smartphone from scratches. The screen delivers a resolution of 960 X 540 pixels and gives a pixel density of 256 ppi.

Coming to the hardware of the smartphone, it comes with a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 200 processor and along with it 1 GB RAM. As we already mentioned that Moto E is a budget smartphone, so this processor and RAM are best suited for the smartphone. If you are wondering if the hardware will deliver great performance then you might be sad to know that it gets slowed down at some points. Even the 1GB RAM also leads to lagging of the device at some points. The phone comes with 4 GB internal storage and one of the best features of the Moto E is that you get the option to add an external Micro SD memory card which is not available with Moto G and Moto X. So if you are running low on storage you can add an external Micro SD card of up to 32 GB.

You will get 5 Mega Pixel rear camera with the Moto E. Camera is the negative point with Moto E as you won’t be getting any Flash or Auto Focus with the camera of Moto E, and it is also not suitable for clicking pictures at night or in low light. There is no front camera in Moto E.

As we all know that Motorola was previously owned by Google, Moto E will come with Android Operating system running on it and KitKat v4.4.2 will be running on it. This is one of the best features of the Moto E as if there is any new update of Android, all the Motorola users, including Moto E users will be the first ones to receive it and upgrade their devices. You will experience stock Android in your Moto E.

Final Words

Motorola Moto E is a really good smartphone and it will surely compete other budget smartphones which are in the same price range. The price of Motorola Moto E is Rs 6,999 and is available to buy through Flipkart. If you are using Moto E, please share your experience with us.
